St. Jude Follow Up

  • 11/07/2023

A note from Pamelia regarding the Friday, Nov. 3 socially-slanted mixed paddle event with a fundraising theme for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We all know that this is a worthwhile cause and the organization should be applauded for what it does and what it stands for.

What isn’t always communicated enough is the seemingly endless generosity that our members demonstrate time after time. The board is always humbled by that spirit. A heartful thank you from the board and Pamelia. For those still considering a donation, please see Pamelia’s note below. The EPTC members are truly the best.

-From Pamelia-

To the Essex Paddle Community. St. Jude’s I started running for in 2017 and completed 2 marathons. Never did I think I was a runner. I now run 1/2 the miles (13.2) and raise twice the amount! My goal is to raise $100,000 personally in my days of running for St. Jude’s. I am the team captain for my company who sponsors the St. Jude’s Marathon and our goal for the team is $100,000 this year!

I am truly humbled by the generous donations last year and this year as you all stepped up and helped me raise double what I did last year from the club.

Right now, you have donated $1,015 and donations are still coming in!

Thank you for helping me help those kids.

For those that asked me last night for the link, here it is.
